My Story and Bio

My Story

Well, where do I begin?  I began my journey in life with challenges and struggles that were beyond my control.  For example, I was literally abandoned by my birth mother and left on a police doorstep in a small village near Seoul, South Korea.  Imagine growing up never having a foundation, story of how I came into this world, having any family history or sense of culture/roots, or any answers as to why she could give up her child.  Growing up, feeling very alone, I believed that life was meant to be a struggle, and that bad things happened to me because I was strong enough to handle it.  Yet inside, I felt like a burden to those who cared about or loved me.  How wrong I was!  I didn't understand that everything happens for a reason.  Much of my pain and suffering led me to have great compassion, empathy, and led me to my work and being of service, especially to those who endured similar experiences as mine, therefore I could relate and guide them through their process without judgement, control, or a desired outcome.  Through countless forms of treatment, studying self-help and personal growth materials, studying Jungian psychology, empty chair work, shamanism, Traeger, or sensory re-patterning, yoga, meditation, bodywork, Rolfing, energy healing, and many, many special people who have supported me along my journey, I am now living an empowered, fulfilling, purposeful, meaningful life!  I get up almost every morning just before sunrise, feeling so very grateful and appreciative for who I've become, who I'm in the process of becoming, and  all the many blessings in my life.    Now, through much resilience, support, and hard work, I've been in recovery for over 15 years and am eager to be of service and help others along their journey to sobriety and a healthy, balanced, blissful life!

For years, I worked at Sierra Tucson, an inpatient treatment facility that specializes in behavioral and mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, addiction, substance use disorder, eating disorders, chronic pain, and trauma.   My work was facilitating adventure/team-building therapeutic groups, equine-assisted therapy, teach yoga, and am a personal trainer.  I have been involved in healing, structural integration & postural alignment, massage & energy work, personal training, life consulting/coaching, and emotional release work, especially those with additions or trauma, and in the wellness industry for almost 20 years. Having so much experience in somatic, or psychologically centered, bodywork, holistic healing, and life coaching, I feel a sense of unconditional acceptance, love, and capable of guiding you for whatever journey your are on or might take.  Whatever emotions may come up, I am willing as well as eager to hold that rare, sacred space for you to do your work, even if that is as simple as me listening to your trials and tribulations of the week, and validating your concerns.  During my time as a licensed and specialized holistic healer/bodyworker and personal trainer, I had the pleasure of facilitating hundreds, if not thousands, of transformational changes in my clients' body-mind-spirit-soul experience of life and themselves.  I consider it a privilege and an honor to get to give back and be of great service to those who seek to better their life experience.  To touch, guide, and aid someone in becoming more of their authentic, beautiful, perfectly imperfect self is a gift that I cannot put into words.  Simply put, I believe the body is the physiological representation of the soul, therefore it's with humility and a sense of privilege that I am called upon to do this work.  Thanks to my experience, knowledge, and own journey, I can help, guide, and empower get from this moment you are in now to where you would like to be.

Change and transformation do not happen overnight.  Along my journey I have come to realize that change takes commitment, hard work, lots of stumbling of taking two steps forward and one step back, and time...However, I keep moving forward...sometimes by leaps and sometimes baby steps.  The important thing is I keep getting back up when I fall down.  It's not the 99 times you fall that matters.  It's the 100th time you rise and get back up that counts.  I am passionate about helping you achieve more of your full potential, balance, inner peace, forward momentum, release of shame or self sabotaging behaviors, and enjoying a purposeful and meaningful life.

I am located in central Tucson not far from the U of A.  However, I can coach anyone over the phone or through Face Time/Google/Zoom nationwide.  I am so very honored and humbled to be of service and am excited for us to collaborate and create the changes you've always desired.  Now is the time to start.  I am currently taking clients and you can contact me through the "contact me" tab on the top of the page.  Thank you for your interest and I sincerely hope you make the choice to invest in yourself and create a better life, body, mind, spiritual connection, and soulful experience.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Peace and Blessings to you.
